The Dome opened January 1, 2000 as the Golf Dome. It was originally designed as an indoor golf and recreation facility. Through the years, the Dome has evolved into one of the largest and most comprohensive indoor and outdoor sports, recreation and event facilities in the Midwest. Located on Fort Wayne’s southwest side, the Dome includes over 100,000 square feet of indoor sports and entertainment spaces as well as 40 acres of outdoor recreation space. Indoor features include: 65 foot high ceiling, 60,000 square feet of athletic field space covered with pro-style artificial turf, a challenging 18-hole minature golf course, 6 automated batting cages, video games, concessions area, one full size soccer/football field, 3 short soccer, lacrosse, flag football fields, baseball/softball diamonds, 30 station indoor driving range with putting green, as well as over 10,000 square feet of banquet space. Outdoors features include a full size outdoor driving range and acres of open grass recreation space for a variety of activities.
